Double blinding

Granitics eCRF supports double blinding, one of the key methods for ensuring the reliability of clinical study results. In a double-blind study, neither the participant nor the investigator conducting the study knows which group the participant belongs to.

Reliable blinding

In a double-blind study, a participant's study group is known only to a restricted set of users for the entire blinding period. Other users in the study team cannot see the group allocation in the system, which prevents unconscious bias in assessments. The blind is broken once the study's data collection phase has ended.

Traceable blinding

Randomisation and other blinding-related actions can be carried out directly in the system without separate tools. All events are automatically recorded in the Audit Trail log, including the time, the user and the action taken. This ensures full traceability and supports the regulatory requirements and audits of clinical studies.

Study integrity is safeguarded

Double blinding is a key part of high-quality clinical studies, as it reduces systematic errors and improves the comparability of results. Granitics eCRF helps maintain study integrity throughout the study process, while also supporting compliance with GCP guidelines and other research standards, for example.
